The Hollywood 48 Hour Miracle Diet Scam

The Hollywood 48 Hour Miracle Diet is Unhealthy

Unfortunately, because we have an obesity epidemic worldwide, coupled with the fact that we insist on instant gratification, diets such as The Hollywood 48 hour miracle diet exist.

So, here we go again - another fad diet waiting for suckers to line up to take their hard earned cash. The Hollywood 48 hour miracle diet is supposedly a scientifically formulated mix that will cleanse your system and enable you to lose 10 pounds in two days. Okay, so do we look like we just fell off a potato truck? Apparently, yes or the diet wouldn’t be so popular.

So how healthy is this “miracle” diet and can you really lose 10 pounds in 48 hours? The answer is that it is extremely unhealthy. No wonder it’s only for 48 hours. Who could possibly live on juice? Nobody can. Yet, thousands of people are lining up looking for the next big thing to help them magically lose weight.

Water Weight Loss is not the Same as Fat Loss

The weight you end up losing on this “miracle juice” diet is mostly water, and you don’t need to pay to lose water weight. In addition, you lose muscle with this horribly unhealthy diet. Losing muscle is the worse thing you can do when trying to lose weight because muscle burns fat. If you start losing muscle, your metabolism will slow down and you gain even more weight than when you started this crazy diet.

The health claims in the Hollywood 48 hour miracle diet come from assertions that it cleanses your digestive system because it is made up of all natural fruits and vitamins and therefore detoxifies your body. It also promises to rev up your metabolism. This miracle juice may very well have plenty of antioxidant properties, but it is far from being healthy and it still will not make you lose 10 pounds in 2 days – physiologically, it’s impossible. In addition, it excludes whole groups of foods.

An Expensive Bottle of Juice

The Hollywood 48 hour miracle diet is simply a juice fast. It’s also a very expensive juice fast. It costs $25 per bottle. In addition, depriving your body of other necessary nutrients can cause many health ailments such as scurvy, anemia, dehydration an other calorie deficit related ailments. This diet is just an unhealthy liquid fast.

So what’s in this miracle juice? Here are the ingredients in this “scientifically formulated” drink: water, pineapple, orange, grape and a few other fruit juices. They then add some vitamins and minerals. You can try this same diet by buying a 64 ounce container of Tropicana OJ with calcium. Also, because juice has a ton of sugar in it, you get a sugar high and then you come crashing down. Drinking juice does not have the same metabolic effect as eating fresh fruit. Even if it did, you still cannot exclude whole groups of food and maintain your health.

Weight Loss is About Commitment and Discipline

If you’re looking for true healthy weight loss, don’t look for it in a bottle. Weight loss and weight maintenance are a life long endeavor. It requires discipline, willingness to forego instant gratification, motivation and hard work – something the Hollywood 48 hour miracle diet cannot give you. In fact, no food plan or diet can give you those qualities. You have to cultivate them for yourself.

Don’t be so fast to look for the latest fad diet or the quickest way to lose weight. Weight loss comes with a price and instant gratification has no place in a healthy weight loss plan. The good news is once you’ve cultivated these habits and the good qualities you need for weight loss, you will have the tools you need and you won’t ever fall prey to another fad diet like the Hollywood 48 hour miracle diet.
